Make A Stand Against Violence
Make A Stand Against Violence is a campaign that aims to support young people to play a role in preventing violence through encouraging them to look out for their friends. It helps young people understand what violence can look like in its many different forms and aims to tackle harmful behaviour such as bullying or physical fighting before they escalate further.
The campaign is also about empowering young people by giving them simple tools to be an ‘active bystander.’
This is a brand-new offer to professionals who want to bring something different into the classroom for pupils.
There are three 45-minute sessions plus supporting materials, created alongside behaviour change specialists, available for download.
The sessions are designed for Years 7 – 11 and aim to provide young people with the tools, knowledge and confidence to be an ‘active bystander’ and to work together to prevent violence.
The package includes:
- Overview of Lesson Plans
- Session 1
- Session 2
- Session 3
- Activity Cards
- MASAV Toolkit
